Belarus’ export up 18.2% in January-September 2017

MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – In January-September 2017, Belarus’ export of goods and services surged by 18.2% over the same period of 2016 to $26.025 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

In January-September 2017, Belarus’ foreign trade in goods and services amounted to $51.617 billion (up by 18.6% from the same period a year prior). Export of goods and services totaled $26.025 billion (up 18.2%); import made up $25.592 billion (up 18.9%). Belarus had a $432.6 million foreign trade surplus.

Belarus’ foreign trade in goods grew up by 21% to $42.702 billion in January-September. Export of goods totaled $20.487 billion (up 20.6%), import reached $22.214 billion (up 21.4%). The deficit made up $1.726 billion.

In January-September 2017, Belarus’ foreign trade in services was $8.915 billion (up 8% as against the same period of last year). Export of services amounted to $5.537 billion (up by 10.1%), import came at $3.378 billion (up by 4.7%). The surplus in foreign trade in services in January-September is estimated at $2.159 billion.
