MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - The Economy Ministry together with the Korea Development Institute held an online working meeting on the KSP 2021/22 project "Digital transformation of the Belarusian economy: Cooperation between business and the public sector for digital transformation of the industrial sector”, BelTA learned from the ministry’s website.

The participants closely studied the issues related to the three research topics for this year: policy recommendations for the setting up and operation of a platform for cooperation between the industrial sector and government agencies; policy recommendations for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized businesses; action plans for digital transformation through cooperation between the industrial sector and government agencies.

"In the upcoming project period, the Economy Ministry is looking forward to the transfer of advanced Korean experience of public-private cooperation in the field of digital development of the real sector of the economy as part of the new project KSP 2021/22. The parties highlighted the importance of the chosen research topics of for Belarus and the Korean best practices for Belarus. The parties also emphasized the need to work out plans of action(roadmaps) to promote digital transformation for the government and industrial business community that are prepared for digital transformation,” the department said.

According to the ministry, this is the second event on KSP 2021/22 held as part of the third phase of the Korea Knowledge Sharing Program in Belarus.

According to the Economy Ministry, a kick-off seminar on the official launch of the KSP 2021/2022 project took place on 29 November 2021. Attending the event were Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Yaroshevich, Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister Anna Ryabova, Director of the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for Scientific and Technical Sector Viktor Grishchuk, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Scientific and Innovation Work Olga Naumovich, a counselor of the Korean Embassy in Belarus, heads of the subdivisions of the government bodies, industrial business unions and associations, educational and scientific institutions.
