MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – Belarus intends to export more agricultural machines to Uzbekistan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Industry Ministry website.

An Industry Ministry delegation led by Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik is taking part in the first Tashkent international investment forum, which is scheduled for 23-26 March. The forum enjoys support of Uzbekistan’s leadership. Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony.

Participation in the forum’s work is another opportunity for the Belarusian industrial delegation to get familiar with Uzbekistan’s investment potential and establish new contacts. While in Uzbekistan the delegation is expected to meet with top officials of the Investment and Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan, with representatives of a number of Uzbek companies that cooperate with Belarusian industrial enterprises. The agenda includes manufacturing cooperation development, the provision of Uzbek mining enterprises with Belarusian mining machines and vehicles, and the expansion of agricultural machinery deliveries to agribusiness enterprises of Uzbekistan.

For Belarusian production sector enterprises Uzbekistan is one of the main trade and economic partners. The Belarusian Industry Ministry is intent on further advancing strategic partnership with Uzbek companies.
