Belarus delivers 120 tractors to Novosibirsk Oblast, Omsk Oblast of Russia

Belarus delivers 120 tractors to Novosibirsk Oblast, Omsk Oblast of Russia

MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) - 120 tractors made by Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) were handed over to agricultural enterprises of Novosibirsk Oblast and Omsk Oblast of Russia in a ceremony during a visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Novosibirsk, BelTA has learned from the government's Telegram channel.

During his opening remarks, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko noted that MTZ-Siberia Trading House is a modern center which sets the path for the development of the industry in the region. “It's been in business for over 20 years. Now it has become an example for other MTZ regional sales and maintenance centers," he said.

According to the prime minister, the agricultural sector of Novosibirsk Oblast will grow even faster with new modern vehicles to increase labor productivity. "Vehicles made by Minsk Tractor Works will be a good help. Not only by this manufacturer but also all others, whose interests MTZ-Siberia represents," he said.

Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi said that the trading house has become more visible over the past few years. "The marketing strategy of Minsk Tractor Works has been in place for a long time and MTZ-Siberia is a very good part of this strategy. Of course, we would like the trading house to become the first multi-brand center for sale and maintenance of Belarusian vehicles. This will be a very good facility to promote the entire line-up of our vehicles. There are no competitors in the region, so this concept can be implemented without problems," he said.

For his part, Governor of Novosibirsk Oblast Andrei Travnikov thanked the Belarusian representatives and noted that this is very important and useful for the region. "Tractors produced in Minsk are plowing the fields of the Novosibirsk region of Russia. Palesse harvesters are also well known to our farmers. I would like to thank Minsk Tractor Works and Gomselmash for their assistance last year in implementing the plan to upgrade the fleet of farm machines in our region. They supplied us with equipment, and we were able to carry out this program," he said.

From 26 to 28 April, the government delegation headed by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is on a working visit to three Russian regions: Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Sverdlovsk. The delegation is scheduled to meet with regional governors and to visit a number of enterprises.
