MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – Belarus and China will discuss the establishment of joint ventures to produce beef, BelTA learned from Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats.
“In Monday we are leaving for China to hold talks with COFCO Engineering & Technology, CITIC Group and other companies. We need to iron out some technicalities in order to increase and streamline deliveries of Belarusian products to China. There are issues that need our involvement. They should be tackled at the level of China’s biggest agribusiness companies. We are set to discuss the establishment of joint ventures to produce beef on the territory of Belarus,” Leonid Zayats said.
As was reported earlier, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said that Belarus wants to expand cooperation in agriculture with China’s CITIC Group. Several joint projects were suggested to the Chinese partners.
