Belarus attends Wuxi International Sister Cities Forum

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) - Consul General of Belarus in Shanghai Andrei Andreyev took part in the 10th Wuxi International Sister Cities Forum and 2021 Wuxi International Industrial Cooperation Conference, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

Andrei Andreyev noted that the leadership of Belarus and China attach special attention to the development of interregional cooperation within the framework of the joint Year of Regions. He highlighted the growing ties between Bobruisk and the city of Wuxi, and also between Mogilev Oblast and Gomel Oblast and the Province of Jiangxi.

The Belarusian diplomat called on Chinese partners to make a full use of the potential of interregional trade, economic and investment cooperation to increase the supply of Belarusian food products, set up more joint ventures, including in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone.

During the talks with the senior officials of the people's government of Wuxi, agreements were reached on the joint development of new areas of cooperation in the investment, healthcare and educational areas, including projects in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.
