Belarus' ambassador, Russia's Transmashholding discuss cooperation prospects

MOSCOW, 6 February (BelTA) - Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Chief Executive Officer of  the Russian company Transmashholding (TMH) Kirill Lipa to discuss the development of industrial cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed the supplies of railway equipment, key parts and components for Belarusian enterprises, the development of industrial cooperation within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The parties also touched upon matters of cooperation between the enterprises of Transmashholding and BelAZ holding company on the supply of engines,” the press service said.

The press service noted that the TMH enterprises are traditionally major suppliers of machinery and components for the railway industry and industrial sector of Belarus. In 2024, the Metrovagonmash plant, an enterprise of the Transmashholding company, delivered 28 new modern metro cars Minsk-2024 to Minsk Metro. The TMH Smart Systems company, which is also a part of  the TMH holding company, implemented an innovative train traffic control system at the new stations of Minsk Metro and on rolling stock.
