MOSCOW, 15 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko is taking part in the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. During the forum he has met with representatives of Russian regions to discuss Belarus’ exports and establishment of joint ventures, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

“On the sidelines of the forum, Vladimir Semashko has held working meetings with Bryansk Oblast Governor Alexander Bogomaz, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Krai Yuri Burlachko, and First Vice President of Gazprombank Aleksey Chichkanov. The ambassador also met with representatives of a number of Russian regions. Top on the agenda were cooperation prospects across a number of economic sectors. The parties discussed concrete proposals to boost Belarus’ export, supply machinery, set up assembly plants, attract Russian investment in the Belarusian economy and implement infrastructure projects. The parties chartered approaches to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Bryansk Oblast and Krasnodar Krai,” the diplomatic mission informed.

Taking part in the forum are representatives of Belarus’ industry giants – MTZ, MAZ, Belkommunmash, Mogilevliftmash and some other companies. “The representatives of the Belarusian enterprises are holding talks with their Russian partners,” the embassy noted.
