Belarus’ A-100 Group of Companies ships large batch of PPE from China

Belarus’ A-100 Group of Companies ships large batch of PPE from China

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – A-100 Group of Companies has bought a large batch of personal protective equipment (PPE) in China that has arrived in Minsk by air. On 25 May, some of it was delivered to Minsk Regional Teaching Hospital, BelTA has learned.

The humanitarian cargo includes face masks, 100 infrared thermometers, and 1,000 goggles. Medical products are meant for frontline healthcare workers. The PPE will be distributed among Minsk District Central Hospital, Minsk Regional Teaching Hospital, and the Minsk Research Center for Surgery, Transplantation and Hematology.

“We are a large and successful company that, in its 25 years of existence, has proven that we not only make profit but also help when it is needed. We want this difficult period to be over as soon as possible. Doctors, nurses, and other medical staff need protection as they are working on the frontline and risk their health to treat and save coronavirus patients. We will continue helping them,” Chairman of the Supervisory Board of A-100 Group of Companies Aleksandr Tsenter said.

The company has helped the healthcare system respond to the pandemic since early March, supplying medical equipment and PPE and donating funds. The company also provided more than 6,000 free lunches for healthcare workers. In March-May, the total sum of A-100 Group of Companies donations exceeded Br500,000.

“We received around 30,000 disposable face masks, 100 infrared thermometers, and goggles. We have enough PPE, but the cargo we have received today will help us ensure maximum protection of our staff,” Chief Physician of Minsk Regional Teaching Hospital Aleksandr Linkevich said.

“I would like to thank for such a reliable and stable partnership and for active help. A-100 Group of Companies was one of the first to lend us a hand back in March. I am genuinely grateful to the company and hope for further cooperation,” Belarus Deputy Healthcare Minister Boris Androsyuk added.

This cargo is very valuable, Head of the Main Healthcare Department of the Minsk Oblast administration Natalya Boyarskaya said. “I want to thank A-100 Group of Companies that was the first to support the healthcare system of Minsk Oblast. This is not only a great contribution to ensuring safe work and preserving healthcare workers’ health, but also a reminder that we all stand together in this fight – the government authorities and businesses alike. There is no doubt that we will prevail soon,” she noted.
