Baranovichi university to host international conference on innovative development

BREST, 11 December (BelTA) - Baranovichi State University (BarSU) will host the first international research-to-practice conference on innovative development on 11 December, vice rector of the university for research, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Vladimir Klimuk told BelTA.

Co-organizers of the event are foreign partner universities of BarSU from Russia’s Rostov, Vologda, Tula, Samara, Yekaterinburg and Ulyanovsk, Bulgaria’s Plovdiv, Ukraine's  Rovno, Latvia’s Jelgava, and the Chinese province of Shaanxi. All in all, the event will be attended by about 30 universities from Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Latvia, China, Zambia, and India participate in the conference.

“Together with our foreign colleagues, we are organizing a comprehensive scientific and educational multidisciplinary platform. Today the world is driven by innovation - in economy and society. It is the know-how, the original product that lies at the heart of competitiveness of an organization, region, or a country. The university is a kind of generator of innovation. Therefore, with the help of our partners, we are developing cooperation of resources to ensure the dynamic development of the scientific and educational sector,” Vladimir Klimuk noted.

The web-based conference will run the plenary meeting and breakout sessions and also master classes, workshops, training platforms, webinars, and open lectures. During the conference Baranovichi State University will sign cooperation agreements with new partners.

It is planned that the international research-to-practice conference will become a regular event. Now Baranovichi State University together with its partners is working on the road maps of international cooperation for the next year.
