Bangladesh business shows interest in Belarusian investments

MINSK, 22 July (BelTA) – Bangladesh business is interested in Belarusian investment projects, Director of the Federation of the Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Aminul Hoque Shamim told media, BelTA informs.

“Our government provides certain tax privileges for foreign investors and allocates land plots to promote an inflow of foreign investments,” said the head of the federation. In his words, Bangladesh is well-known for its developed textile industry. Bangladesh will be glad to find new partners in this area, he added.

“Bangladesh knows that your country produces powerful tractors. Our market boasts a well-developed agricultural sector. We are interested in buying agricultural machinery,” Aminul Hoque Shamim added.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is playing host to the third meeting of the Belarus-Bangladesh Business Cooperation Council. The meeting will highlight trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The program of the meeting will also comprise business talks between representatives of Belarusian and Bangladeshi companies.

As was informed, Belarus views Bangladesh as one of new promising markets in South Asia for 2015. In 2014 Belarus supplied a big batch of machinery to Bangladesh.
