Azerbaijan in favor of stronger ties between its technoparks, Great Stone

Azerbaijan in favor of stronger ties between its technoparks, Great Stone

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) - Belarus and Azerbaijan would like to step up investment cooperation and to bolster business ties, including in innovations. The matter was high on the agenda of a meeting between Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Latif Gandilov, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of the Belarusian Parliament.

The parties reaffirmed the intention to actively develop all-round cooperation. The Ambassador concurred with the Speaker that joint ventures could be more. “Latif Gandilov suggested signing documents on cooperation between the major technoparks of Azerbaijan and the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone,” the press service said.

Mikhail Myasnikovich drew attention to the positive dynamics of the interaction between the two countries in many areas. Warm and trust-based relations between the heads of state contribute to the partnership. “In Azerbaijan there are joint manufacturing plants that will work not only for the country’s domestic market but also for the markets of neighboring states,” the chairman of the Council of the Republic said. Belarus, in turn, is creating comfortable conditions for the Azerbaijani business. The two countries have already implemented a number of successful investment projects.

The parties also discussed the plans on the joint production of electric buses in Ganja.
