MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Another three Belarusian dairy companies have been authorized to sell their products on the Chinese market, BelTA learned from Press Secretary of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry Zinaida Bereshchenko.

According to the source, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Khotko met with Ni Yuefeng, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China, on 24 April. The two government agencies signed a protocol on quarantine and health requirements for dairy fodder products, which are supposed to be exported from Belarus to China.

Products made by OAO Molochnyye Gorki (milk hills), Bobruiskmoloko, and the Nesvizh-based baby food factory can be exported to China now. Two companies – OAO Moloko and the Kopyl-based branch of Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant – have added whey powder to their list of exports. A certificate for exporting fish products to China has also been agreed and approved. The previously accredited Belarusian poultry farms can now export chicken feet to China as well.

According to the source, the sides intend to continue working to expand the choice of Belarusian exports to China, including beet root oilcake, flour, honey, and vegetables.

In 2018 the export of Belarusian agricultural products and food to China totaled $82.362 million, 340% up from 2017. In January-February 2019 the export of Belarusian agricultural products and food to China amounted to $9.22 million, 230% up from the same period of last year.

So far 54 Belarusian dairy enterprises, two meat-packing plants, and five poultry farms have been authorized to export their products to China.
