MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – The state program Agro-Industrial Complex of the Future for 2026-2030 has been approved. This resolution was signed by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA learned from the government press service.
The goal is to build a high-performance agro-industrial complex in the country.
The program defines three key consolidated targets: an industrial production index (IFO under the Agriculture and Food Ministry system) of 115% over five years; an integrated food security index of no less than 1 annually; and labor productivity in agricultural organizations, measured by gross value added, reaching 130% in 2030 compared to 2025.
To ensure domestic production of agricultural products and food, a food security indicator has been established. It covers 10 product categories (grain, milk, meat, sugar, vegetable oil, potatoes, vegetables, fruits and berries, eggs, and fish) which will help maintain the supply of high-quality domestically produced food to the internal market.
The state program includes 10 subprograms: Efficient Crop Production, Intensive Animal Husbandry, Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries, Flood Protection of Agricultural Lands, Land Reclamation, Development of the Processing Industry, Overcoming the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster in the Agro-Industrial Complex, Small Forms of Farming, Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex, including Precision Agriculture, and Sustainable Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex.
Financial support for the implementation of the state program in 2026-2030 will amount to Br119.039 billion.
