Nikas Safronov’s works on display in Minsk for first time

Nikas Safronov’s expo in MinskMINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – Minsk is hosting the first exhibition of Russia’s Honored Artist, member of the Russian Academy of Arts Nikas Safronov. The exposition has been displayed at the exhibition hall of the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery, a subsidiary of the Museum of Minsk History, BelTA learnt from the museum.

Nikas Safronov can be viewed as one of the more famous Russian contemporary artists. The bulk of his works is kept in private collections and museums of various countries. Among Nikas Safronov’s fans is Alla Pugacheva, Sophia Loren, Alain Delon, Pierre Cardin, Diana Ross, Montserrat Caballe, Madonna, Nikita Mikhalkov, Stiven Spielberg, Tina Turner, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Pierre Richard, Richard Gere, Elizabeth Taylor.

The exhibition features 100 works created in the period between the late 1990s and 2013. Among them are landscapes, still-life paintings, portraits, surrealistic compositions, including the works of the author’s unique style Dream Vision.

Nikas Safronov’s expo in MinskThe gallery will display the portraits of actor Johnny Depp, ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya, Hollywood “cowboy” Clint Eastwood, French beauty Sophie Marceau and others.

The artist’s latest works devoted to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi are also on show. These are bright fantasies in which the artist shows all the passion of the Olympics, human valor and courage, strength and beauty of the sport against the background of grand and captivating nature.

Nikas Safronov’s expos have always been big cultural events. His exhibition in Istanbul was a great success in 1995. He held his personal expos in the Academy of Arts (Moscow), the Marc Chagall Museum in Vitebsk (Belarus) and Bergamo (Italy) in 1996. Nikas Safronov’s works were shown in Toronto, Rome, Zurich, New York, Sochi, Riga, Saint Petersburg and other cities.

The exhibition in Minsk will stay open until 5 May.
