Belarusian detective movie wins special award in Moscow

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian film “Traces of the Apostles” directed by Sergei Talybov received a special prize of the International Festival of Detective Films And Programs DetektivFEST, BelTA learned from the Belarusfilm national film studio.

The joint work of Belarusfilm, First Cinema and Video Company and the ONT TV Channel received a special award in the nomination "Feature Films". The movie beat the rivals from Russia, France and the United States. All in all, this year's festival brought together over 300 participants from 42 states.

The adventure movie tells the story about the standoff between the Soviet intelligence service and the German Ahnenerbe organization that sent an expedition to search for the famous treasure of the Radziwill family. The story that started in the years of the Great Patriotic War gets an unexpected turn in our days when the law student Alevtina embarks on a summer internship program in her native Nesvizh.

The film line-up features such Belarusian actors as Veronika Plyashkevich, Pavel Kharlanchuk-Yuzhakov, Igor Sigov, Dmitry Mukhin, Oleg Garbuz, and Tatiana Markhel. The film by Viktor Labkovich, script by Oleg Sukhamer.
