Patriarch Kirill in the Brest Fortress

The meeting was attended by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, who came to Brest as part of his primatial visit to Belarus. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church said that the visit was personal for him: his uncle went missing and was possibly killed in the battles to defend the Brest Fortress. Patriarch Kirill led a lity for the people killed during the war in St. Nicholas Church on the territory of the fortress.
