The opening of the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery

The Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery was officially opened in Minsk on 7 September 2012. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko attended the opening ceremony and left a note in the distinguished visitors’ book: “I was excited to visit the gallery of Mikhail Andreyevich Savitsky, a man who I knew personally and respected greatly, an artist who left his footprint in fine art and gained international recognition. May the gallery of this outstanding son of Belarus contribute to the spiritual enrichment of people, filling their hearts with pride for our talented nation that has given the mankind such an eminent artist.”
