Colza – a competitor to olive oil
2 Oct 2017

Colza oil is called “northern olive oil” for its nutritious and flavor properties. It is rich in fatty acids, vitamins Е, A, B, D, and also calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. This year about 30,000 tonnes of colza has been delivered to the Gomel fat-processing plant. The plant will produce some 10,000 tonnes of “northern olive oil”. Colza oil from the Belarusian Gomel is sold to Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, Israel, the UK, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. Negotiations on the supplies to China are underway.
