Confucius Institute Day in Minsk Upper Town

The Upper Town turned into a traditional Chinese festival for one day. As it was promised, the organizers of the festival showcased numerous cultural sides of the modern and ancient China.

The festival featured a wedding ceremony and a fortunetelling ceremony preceding it, the Dragon and the Lion dances, a solo on the Chinese violin Erhu and the performance of other musicians. The interactive program included master classes in the Chinese tea ceremony, the health-improving martial art Tai Chi, the Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi tennis... The best chefs of the Belarusian capital treated the guests of the festival with Chinese traditional dishes.
