MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ leading biathlete Darya Domracheva won the women's 7.5km Sprint with two shooting bouts at IBU World Cup 6 in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy, BelTA has learned.
Darya’s closest rival Finland's Kaisa Makarainen was 26.9 seconds behind the winning time of 19:57.8. That was Domracheva's second win in a row after claiming the mass start gold in Ruhpolding. Third place went to Germany's Laura Dahlmeier who shot clean but was 50.4 seconds back.
This is the 24th victory in individual races for three-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva. Darya is now first in the Women’s World Cup Sprint standings this season with 249 points.
