MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Alena Lanskaya will represent Belarus at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, BelTA has learnt.
Alena Lanskaya with her song All my Life written by Leonid Shirin and Yuri Vashchuk beat all other acts on the national music project Eurofest, the national selection contest for Eurovision, at the Sports Palace on 14 February.
Honorary Artist of Belarus Alena Lanskaya was born in Mogilev on 7 September 1985. She is a prize-holder of different music contests including Sarandev-2008 (Bulgaria) and the Europe Cup 2009 (Russia); a winner of the international competition among young pop singers Atlantic Breeze 2010; an awardee of the Young Talents of Belarus Contest; a laureate of the 5th international festival, Youth for the Union State, (Russia). In July 2011 Alena won the Grand Prix at the Vitebsk 2011 Song Contest which was held as part of the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk. The Belarusian graduated from the Mogilev Finance and Economy College and the Belarusian-Russian University in Mogilev.
