Students of British defense college looking into Belarusian experience

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Students of the Royal College of Defense Studies (RCDS) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are looking into Belarusian accomplishments in the military sphere. A representative delegation visited the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on 21 May, BelTA has learned. The delegation met with Sergei Rakhmanov, Chairman of the International Affairs and National Security Committee of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament.

John Kingwell, Deputy Commandant of the Royal College of Defense Studies, told media that they are taking a closer look at military strategies of various countries. He noted that the delegation had been able to learn a lot of useful things in Belarus. In turn, Deputy Chairman of the National Security Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Bobrikov underlined that the Belarusian side was open to cooperation in military affairs and was always ready to provide information in accordance with the effective agreements.

Sergei Bobrikov went on saying that during such meetings Belarusian specialists get an opportunity to compare military education development vectors. “It is important to see how educational processes in other countries develop and borrow the best, the most up-to-date practices,” stated the MP.

The delegation included representatives of 12 nations, including the UK, the USA, the UAE, and Oman.
