New concept of Ordinance No. 3 to be submitted to Belarus president soon

New concept of Ordinance No. 3 to be submitted to Belarus president soonMINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – A new concept of Ordinance No. 3 will be submitted to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in the future, Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova said at the session hosted by the head of state on 21 November to discuss the economic performance in 2017 and the draft social and economic development forecast for 2018, BelTA informs.

According to Natalya Kochanova, many Belarusians are concerned about employment issues. “Now we are working on a new concept of Ordinance No. 3. We will submit it in the near future. We are analyzing the situation, it is really serious,” she said. “The data that has been provided to us by oblast executive committees is as follows: there are about 500,000 unemployed people.”

The head of the Belarus President Administration said that a special monitoring group was set up there. Specialists from this group regularly visit problem-plagued regions. “In accordance with the estimates of the Information and Analytical Center, we see that this issue is of the biggest concern for our people. The situation is different in different regions. But the problem really exists today, so self-complacency is inadmissible,” Natalya Kochanova said.

She mentioned the fact that 97,600 Belarusians are working abroad. “They cannot find jobs here and just leave. We need a targeted approach to every region. For example, there are no jobs in Stolin today. It means we should think what enterprises to open there and what jobs to create,” the head of the Belarus President Administration concluded.
