Minsk to host fourth All-Belarusian People’s Congress on 6-7 December

MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – The fourth All-Belarusian People’s Congress will take place in Minsk on 6-7 December. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed relevant decree No. 531 on 13 October, the press service of the Belarusian head of state told BelTA.

The congress will convene to fulfill the constitutional right of citizens to participate in discussing matters of the state and public life.

The agenda of the congress includes results of the 2006-2010 Belarus social and economic development program and fundamentals of the draft program, which is meant to guide Belarus’ social and economic development in 2011-2015.

The decree has set the number of participants at 2,500 people. It has determined the most important organizational measures that will have to be taken to prepare for and hold the event.
