MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent Independence Day greetings to the people of Greece, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Now that the whole world is facing a number of challenges and threats, it is very important to preserve peace and harmony. Of particular importance are contacts based on partnerships, respect and mutual assistance,” the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state recalled that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Greece. “I am sure that the eventful and centuries-old history and common spiritual values of the peoples of our countries will become a good foundation for strengthening constructive bilateral ties,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
The president expressed Minsk’s interest in promoting cooperation with Athens in various areas, including economy and investment. “I hope that despite the current political situation our friendly relations will grow stronger,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian head of state wished the friendly people of Greece health, peace, prosperity and confidence in the future.
