Belarus expresses concern over escalation in Israel

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) - Belarus has expressed deep concern over the sharp aggravation of the situation in Israel, entailing human casualties, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We consider any manifestation of aggression unacceptable, and casualties among civilians inadmissible,” the ministry stressed. “We urge the parties to the confrontation to take urgent measures to de-escalate tension in the region.”

Belarus is convinced that the path of direct negotiations for a long-term settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli crisis is irreversible.

There have been no reports about injured Belarusian citizens so far. The Belarusian embassy in Tel Aviv is in constant contact with the competent authorities of Israel and keeps monitoring the situation.
