TIBO 2023 international ICT forum kicks off in Minsk

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – The 29th international information and communications technology forum TIBO 2023 has kicked off in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The TIBO forum is a unique platform to share expertise and knowledge in the field of information technology, to review global trends in digital transformation and to discuss the use of the latest technological solutions in traditional sectors of the economy. Within four days, state-run organizations and private companies will display their developments and technologies at the Minsk Arena.

For example, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus showcases more than 50 solutions and technologies. The educational sector is represented by more than 20 educational institutions. Belarusian universities and five educational institutions from the Russian Federation present their services at the “educational alley”.

The Belpochta national postal service offers its electronic digital services. “The national postal electronic system is demonstrated at our stand. We are presenting several new solutions that facilitate access to services. One of them is a service for identifying and registering a user through an ID card using a smartphone,” Deputy Director General for Technology at Belpochta Sergei Potapenko said.

In addition to that, Belpochta exhibits a technology for biometric client identification using software. “Legal entities will be able to take advantage of our electronic advance payment system using a mobile application. It allows paying for services via an electronic personal account,” he informed. In addition, the company's stand features the Mobile Postman service. “We have about 15 services that are in demand in cities and rural communities,” Sergei Potapenko added.

The MTS mobile network operator flaunts new products for corporate clients, and also highlights the importance of cybersecurity solutions. Among them are services based on cloud technologies MTS Cloud that has its own data center, as well as various digital services for companies. “Our main goal at TIBO 2023 is to highlight our determination to move forward and branch out into new lines of business. As far as MTS Cloud is concerned, we present a comprehensive information security solution and a service for remote monitoring and management of IT infrastructure called Professional Service,” said Vitaly Odorsky, Deputy Director General for Marketing at MTS.

The highlight of the forum is the exposition of the Communications and Informatization Ministry and government bodies “Cities of the Future - Smart Cities”. The exhibition also features collective stands of the Communications and Informatization Ministry, the Industry Ministry and the Energy Ministry of Belarus, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, Rosatom, companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Kursk Oblast, the Minsk City Technopark, the National Academy of Sciences, the State Committee on Science and Technology, the e-trading platform of the Belarus-Russia Union State. The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, including five of its resident companies, is participating in the exhibition for the first time this year.

The 29th edition of the international information and communications technology forum TIBO 2023 will be running through 21 April. Showcasing their products and services are well-known manufacturers of telecommunications equipment, hardware and software, mobile and fixed-line operators, developers and suppliers of high-tech products, security systems, intelligent solutions and services, scientific and educational institutions. The forum's business program comprises the 3rd Digital Economy Forum, the 5th Eurasian Digital Forum, and the 6th Belarusian ICT Summit. TIBO will also host related events such as the TIBO Internet Award, the national contest of startup projects Belarus ICT Startup Award, the national qualifying stage of the 6th International Scratch Olympiad on Creative Programming among school students, the Minsk Open Tournament on Educational Robotics, the National Championship on Cyber Sports.
