MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Nearly 30% of grain crops have already been combined in Belarus, the Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
As of 2 August, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested from the area of 562,200 hectares, which is 28.4% of the designated area. Some 1.961 million tonnes of grain have been threshed at the average yield of 34.9 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was gathered in from 285,000 hectares of land or 85.7% of the targeted area, with 767,300 tonnes threshed (the average yield stood at 26.9 centners per hectare).
Flax was pulled from 26,300 hectares, which is 60.2% of the area under this crop. Cereal and legume straws were harvested from 302,800 hectares.
