Minsk Oblast, China’s Guangdong Province discuss cooperation roadmap

MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) - Minsk Oblast Executive Committee played host to a working meeting of Chairwoman of the Economy Committee Kseniya Sosedchik with a delegation from Guangdong Province. The parties discussed the cooperation roadmap, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

“Twinning cooperation is strengthening. This year the Minsk Oblast delegation has paid a visit to Guangdong Province. The Chinese delegation is set to pay a return visit in October. The parties are working on a roadmap, which will include such areas of cooperation as trade, investment, social security and others,” Chairwoman of the Economy Committee Ksenia Sosedchik said.

In her words, in H1 2023 the trade between the regions increased by 20%. Exports reached Br646.2 million. Minsk Oblast sells poultry meat, beef, and flax fiber to China. The main imports comprise machines for automatic information processing, textile products, and auto parts.
