Lukashenko visits ideal dairy complex in Belynichi District

BELYNICHI DISTRICT, 29 September (BelTA) – During his working trip to Belynichi District, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has visited Lyamnitsa dairy complex of the Kolkhoz Rodina agricultural enterprise, BelTA has learned.

A week ago, the head of state took part in a plenary session of the national seminar on livestock farming in Soligorsk. Back then the president said that he planned to familiarize himself with cattle fattening. He cited the Kolkhoz Rodina agricultural enterprise in Belynichi District as an example of effective livestock farming.

After visiting the Lyamnitsa dairy complex of this agricultural enterprise and studying how milk production and heifer breeding are arranged there, the head of state said that he was pleased with what he saw.

What makes this cowshed such a good place for livestock? The facility was built using the agricultural enterprise’s own resources. It looks austere, but solid: concrete floors, metal structures, wooden walls and slate roof. The construction works, including materials, cost Br185,000. The project was completed within three months.

“That was a truly low-cost project. Well done! Many talk about it, but few people do it. We live in a forested area – you can take a lot from the forest, especially after a windfall. This is the best place for livestock,” he emphasized.

According to chief of the agricultural enterprise Oleg Lapotentov, the company invested Br2.7 million in the renovation of the entire dairy complex, including about Br1.15 million in the upgrade of three cowsheds and the construction of a milking parlor. For comparison, Minsk Oblast spends Br5-6 million to build dairy complexes, though this amount includes equipment.

“That’s exactly it. There’s no need to invent anything. Other farms should follow suit. We need to move cattle from barns to such cowsheds,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The agricultural enterprise has over 300 employees, the average salary here is over Br2,200.
