MOSCOW, 2 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Kenya’s Ambassador to Russia Benson Ogutu on 1 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The diplomats discussed political, trade and economic cooperation, the development of the legal framework, and the organization of bilateral visits. Special emphasis was placed on the outcome of the visit of the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs to Kenya in April 2023, as well as the working visit of the Kenyan minister of trade, industry and investment and the minister of agriculture and livestock development to Minsk in June 2023.
“The Kenyan ambassador expressed interest in developing cooperation with Belarus in agriculture, industry, education, health, science and IT. For his part, Dmitry Krutoi emphasized the importance of developing the legal framework and signing the agreements under consideration in economy, trade, investment, agriculture and education,” the press service said.
“Benson Ogutu supported this approach and proposed to tap into the potential of business circles of the two countries in order to intensify trade and investment,” the embassy added.
