Delegation of Russia’s Kostroma Oblast visits Belarusian Amkodor
MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – A delegation of Russia’s Kostroma Oblast visited the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor. Matters of cooperation were discussed during the visit, BelTA has learned.
The Kostroma Oblast delegation led by Deputy Governor Yuri Makov visited the holding company Amkodor. The visit became an important stage in advancing cooperation and sharing experience between the company and the region.
The meeting began with a tour of the permanently open exhibition featuring Amkodor’s machines and equipment. The delegation could take a close look at the vehicles and machines the Belarusian company makes. Amkodor’s press service noted that Kostroma Oblast has maintained successful relations with the company for a long time. Kostroma Oblast representatives have experience of working with various kinds of the utility vehicles the Belarusian company makes.
The delegation met with Amkodor’s management. Various aspects of cooperation were discussed. Sales of construction machines, municipal vehicles, forestry vehicles, and parts in Kostroma Oblast represent an important aspect of cooperation.
Yuri Makov described Amkodor as a vivid example of a successful company with a high degree of manufacturing localization, which makes the company independent from external factors and circumstances of the world. Cooperation between the company and Kostroma Oblast is expected to be promising and fruitful. It will generate mutual benefits and will facilitate the development of both regions.
Amkodor was founded in 1927. The holding company comprises 30 legal persons, 22 factories that make over 6,500 products, including 135 models and modifications of utility vehicles and agricultural machines. All the enterprises of the holding company are integrated into one manufacturing chain. Every link specializes in making concrete machines, parts, and components. The company constantly designs new models of machines, equipment, and vehicles and improves the existing ones.
