BUCE to help Russia’s Voronezh producers to launch direct supplies to Belarus

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) will help Russia’s Voronezh producers to establish direct supplies to Belarus, BUCE press secretary Roman Yaniv told BelTA.
The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is ready to assist enterprises of Voronezh Oblast in the organization of exports of their products to Belarus. “This will help Voronezh enterprises without developing their own commodity distribution network to sell goods directly to Belarusian consumers. In addition to the minimization of marketing costs, this sales scheme reduces the risks for both transaction parties. In this case, sellers do not need to ‘share the profit’ with intermediaries, and buyers save on purchases by working directly with the manufacturer,” Chairman of the Board of BUCE Aleksandr Osmolovsky said during a discussion of promising areas of cooperation with Director of the Export Support Center of Voronezh Oblast of the Russian Federation Denis Andryushchenko.
“According to our data, import-substituting products of about 20 enterprises of Voronezh Oblast are already represented at the exchange trading sessions. These are various paint and varnish materials, polymer packaging, water purification filters, paper products, and laboratory equipment. We are ready to help the manufacturers of all these goods to enter the Belarusian market on their own and develop their business here, using the exchange instruments. Thousands of Belarusian companies, regularly using the exchange mechanism as the main purchasing procedure, would also benefit from that,” he stressed.
The BUCE head also suggested using the opportunities of the exchange electronic platform to promote products of export-oriented enterprises of Voronezh Oblast to the markets of the European Union and Asia. According to Aleksandr Osmolovsky, due to the high level of competition among foreign buyers the goods are sold on the most favorable conditions for the exporter.
“Perhaps the best example of the effectiveness of the exchange mechanism is the export of beet pulp and molasses. After the transition to the exchange sales scheme the prices for these commodity items have almost tripled and now fully correspond to the world quotations. I am sure that with the help of our platform the sugar plants of Voronezh Oblast will be able to get a similar economic effect. This also applies to other agro-industrial products. The main thing is for your enterprises to place their bids for sale and we will start working with them right away,” the chairman of the Board of BUCE said.
In his turn, Denis Andryushchenko, Director of the Export Support Center of Voronezh Oblast, expressed his readiness to cooperate with BUCE in all mentioned areas and, first of all, to attract small and medium business representatives to the exchange.
“In this respect, our goals coincide 100% percent, as the encouragement of foreign trade activities of small private companies and individual entrepreneurs is one of the key functions of the Export Support Center. Therefore, it is important to bring information about the tools offered by the exchange to every SME of Voronezh Oblast. I think that such ‘education’ will be of real benefit to Voronezh manufacturers, and will contribute to the growth of trade turnover of our region with Belarus and other CIS and non-CIS countries,” Denis Andryushchenko said.
An agreement was reached to hold a series of training seminars on the exchange trade for the economic entities of Voronezh Oblast throughout the year. Besides, the work will be continued to develop interaction with the manufacturers which are not yet represented at BUCE.
