MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam are intent on making more trucks at the joint venture MAZ Asia, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
A Belarusian-Vietnamese intergovernmental protocol was signed in the Industry and Trade Ministry of Vietnam on 3 December to amend and expand the bilateral document that was signed in 2016 to facilitate the production of motor vehicles in Vietnam. The protocol was signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin and Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh.
During the ceremony the sides stressed the adoption of the agreement meets the spirit of Belarus-Vietnam friendly relations and reaffirms the desire of the two countries to advance cooperation.
The protocol will greatly simplify the operation of the Belarusian-Vietnamese truck assembly joint venture OOO MAZ Asia and will increase the joint venture’s output.
