Belarusian laptops made by Horizont shipped to retailers

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – Belarusian laptops became available in retail shops on 22 December, on the second day after mass production of the laptops began, BelTA has learned.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Lazarevich said: “The Belarusian laptop was created to fulfill the president’s instruction. Minsk congratulates Horizont Company on the launch of mass production of another new product. It is very important. It is import substitution. There are great plans concerning sales on the Russian market and certainly the Belarusian one. Minsk supports all the enterprises that grow.”
Yuri Predko, Director General of OAO Holding Management Company Horizont, said: “The first Belarusian laptop was released to the market as the model H-book MAK4. Yuri Predko explained that a large team of engineers, developers, designers, circuit designers, programmers, manufacturing specialists, and marketing specialists with international experience had worked on creating the laptops.
By the way, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the first laptop of Belarusian make at an open lesson on 1 September 2022. The mass production and the start of sales began after a short period of time.
