MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) - In 2023 the Belarusian engine manufacturer MMZ will continue to step up cooperation with Russian partners, BelTA learned from the MMZ press service.

"In the run-up to the New Year the MMZ deputy director general director for product quality and maintenance Ivan Bakun, specialists of the sales department and director of the MMZ Trading House in Noginsk Sergei Gaityukevich went on an extensive business trip across Russian cities of Kazan, Yelabuga, Cheboksary, and Kovrov. Promoting Minsk MMZ engines in 2023 was top on the agenda of the meetings with Russian partners," the press service said.

Kazanselmash uses Minsk engines, four- and six-cylinder, on self-propelled sprayers. Next year, the partner plans to increase the use of MMZ engines by about 30%. The issue of setting up a maintenance center for MMZ products at Kazanselmash was discussed.

In Yelabuga, representatives of the Minsk plant visited the MTZ-Tatarstan trading and production company that assembles MTZ tractors with MMZ engines. “The company also provides maintenance for our engines. In the summer of this year, MTZ-Tatarstan sent 30 specialists to Minsk to undergo training in maintenance and repair of engines. Next year, cooperation will continue," MMZ noted.

Cheboksary Power System Works uses MMZ engines for its 3- and 5-tonne Silant loaders. The company is launching the production of small tractors which are also to be equipped with Belarusian engines. "Another promising undertaking of our partners is a utilities vehicle. According to Ivan Bakun, next year the Cheboksary company intends to purchase about 250 engines of various modifications from MMZ," the press service said.

The Concern Tractor Plants, a leading Russian machine building company, includes the Cheboksary Industrial Tractor Plant. "We have already begun cooperation with it through the MMZ Trading House in Noginsk. The company uses Minsk engines along with YaMZ engines for its crawler dozers. We agreed to increase the supply of Belarusian engines and to set up a maintenance center for MMZ diesel engines. By the way, in December, specialists from Cheboksary came to Minsk for trianing," the company said.

In the outgoing year, the Kovrov Electromechanical Plant assembled about 320 loaders with MMZ engines. "Next year, the partners plan to increase this figure by 40%, since the Minsk engines have proven their worth, garnering only positive feedback from consumers," the press service stated.

Deputy Director General Ivan Bakun is confident that MMZ will expand cooperation with Russian partners in 2023.
