Belarusian civil engineering expo BUDEXPO to feature about 30 innovative projects

MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) – About 30 innovative projects will be presented during the civil engineering expo BUDEXPO. The expo is scheduled to take place in the trade and logistics complex Globus Park in the agrotown of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk District on 21-24 March, BelTA learned from Alexander Patutin, project manager at the entrepreneurship support center Business Media.

A fair of innovative projects Budидея will take place as part of the civil engineering expo. Alexander Patutin said: “We expect that about 30 projects will be presented. The most promising ones, which are ready for deployment and upscaling, will be awarded. About 20 projects have already been submitted, including rapidly built economy-class energy-effective homes, water-repellent coatings for surfaces of construction materials, technologies for building organic and energy-effective cottages using flax chaff. A project featuring a construction industry 3D printer has been submitted as well. The model of a structure created using this printer may be showcased.” The central stand of the expo will also feature innovative projects. In particular, Gomelglass Company will showcase its energy-effective glass panes.

Plans have been made for more than ten panel sessions, including those focusing on smart buildings, digital technologies for civil engineering industry. Their participants will discuss the practical application of digital technologies in civil engineering design, construction, and operation of buildings. A plenary session will be held to discuss the state and development prospects of the Belarusian civil engineering industry.

For the first time in the history of Belarusian civil engineering expos contests will be held to name the best bricklayer and the best plasterer in the country. Master classes will be arranged to offer tip and tricks in using dry mixtures, various technologies for applying decorative materials.

Belarusian Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister Dmitry Semenkevich noted that BUDEXPO will also attract representatives of allied trades such as transportation, housing assets operation, municipal waste processing. The Communications and Informatization Ministry intends to present a smart home project. “It is an important topic in view of the digital transformation of the economy and the active assimilation of information technologies in our lives,” explained the official.

Admittance will be free. Additional buses will be made available. They will depart from the metro station Malinovka.

BUDEXPO is the successor of the series of civil engineering expos Stroyexpo, the first one of which took place in Belarus in 1997. BUDEXPO will be arranged with assistance of the Council of Ministers, the Architecture and Construction Ministry, and the expo center BelExpo.
