MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – A delegation of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) is expected to visit Belarus on 4-8 September. During the visit there are plans to sign documents to create a joint center to develop and assimilate technologies used in instrument-making and machine-engineering, power engineering, and chemical products, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) told BelTA.
VAST President Chau Van Minh will head the Vietnamese delegation. On 5 September he is expected to meet with Anatoly Rusetsky, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The sides are expected to discuss promising avenues of cooperation, including the training of top-qualification scientific manpower, scientific projects to include into the action plan to promote scientific and technical cooperation between VAST and NASB in 2013-2015.
The VAST-NASB resolution on the joint center for research and assimilation of technologies used in instrument-making, mechanical engineering, power engineering, and the manufacturing of chemical products is expected to be signed on 7 September.
While in Belarus the guests from Vietnam are also expected to visit the Belarusian National Foundation for Fundamental Research, the National Technology Transfer Center, the Scientific Manpower Training Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the NASB Central Botanical Garden, the New Materials Chemistry Institute, the A.V. Lykov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute, the Biophysics and Cell Engineering Institute, the Bioorganic Chemistry Institute, and the enterprise Academpharm.
