MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) - Belarus’ vegetable harvest currently stands at 155,500 tonnes, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 1 November, some 9,149,700 tonnes of grain crops and rapeseed were cropped in Belarus.

Harvesting of corn kernels is underway in all the regions of the country, with 208,200 hectares of land already cleared. Some 1,722,000 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 84.7 centners per hectare.

Some 22,504,300 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Sugar beet harvesting is in progress in Belarus. Some 3,830,800 tonnes of sugar beet were removed, with the yields standing at 473.4 centners per hectare.

Belarus has harvested a total of 155,500 tonnes of vegetables from the area of 5,150 hectares.
