Belarus takes part in food exhibition in Kazakhstan

MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) - Belarusian meat processing and dairy companies are taking part in FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2023, the 25th edition of Central Asian international food industry exhibition. The largest specialist exhibition event in Kazakhstan opened in Almaty on 1 November, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the BelCCI.

FoodExpo Qazaqstan brought together over 300 companies from 33 countries, including Belarus, Hungary, Indonesia, Poland, Russia, North Macedonia, the USA, Sri Lanka and the Republic of Korea.

The Meat and Meat Products section features Veles-Meat, Volkovysk, Grodno, Pinsk and Slonim meat processing plants. The manufacturers have brought to Almaty a wide range of sausages, delicacies, smoked meats and canned foods. At FoodExpo Qazaqstan, Volkovysk Meat Processing Plant is showcasing the popular meat products, including beef steaks and new types of semi-smoked sausages. Grodno Meat Processing Plant offers beef sausage with prunes and Pinsk Meat Processing Plant - game meat products. Among the novelties are meat pasta and an ‘Italian’ series of sausages from Veles-Meat. Of particular interest to the visitors is the sausage with pistachios made to a Italian recipe.

The dairy section presents Bellakt, Molochnye Gorki, and Lida Milk Canning Plant that have displayed milk, cheeses, butter, dry baby food, milk powder.

Bellakt has presented its new products on the Kazakh market: frozen cheesecakes, dessert paste with cocoa and hazelnuts and a new line of glazed curds. Gorki Food Processing Plant debuts in Kazakhstan its legendary Exponenta line-up rich in proteins and functional characteristics. Molochnye Gorki offers not only a traditional line of whole milk products, but also a new series of lactose-free products, including cottage cheese, sour cream and butter. Among the novelties is melted butter in glass packaging.

Molochnye Gorki won a diploma in the Dairy Products category and Gorki Food Plant received an award in the Best Fermented Milk Drinks category at the professional tasting competition "The Best Product of FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2023"which was held on the opening day of the exhibition.

FoodExpo Qazaqstan traditionally has a rich business program. Business has opportunities to exchange experience and vision of further development of the food industry. The business program provides for the business session "Sustainable Development of Food Industry Enterprises" and a number of other events. The exhibition also provides an opportunity to conduct direct negotiations between retail chains and distributors.

The exhibition will continue until 3 November.
