Belarus’ National Exposition unveiled at China International Import Expo in Shanghai

MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) - The National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus was officially opened at the 6th China International Import Expo on 6 November, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and industry (BelCCI).

The Belarusian exposition was opened by Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov and China's Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Representative Ling Ji. The opening ceremony was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko, Director of the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Natalya Kurash and Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone Aleksandr Yaroshenko.

From the first day of the exhibition, the Days of the Regions of Belarus have been held in the country pavilion with the invitation of Chinese partners and provinces - sister cities of the Belarusian regions and the capital. On the opening day of the exhibition, Minsk held its program featuring presentations and tastings of its enterprises and B2B meetings and negotiations. Regional events will be hosted by the Belarus country pavilion every day throughout the entire period of the exhibition.

The CCIE main pavilion features Belarus, China, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Malta, Serbia, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Greece, Mongolia and other countries (more than 60 countries in total).

Belarus has put together a wide business and cultural program h. A Belarusian and Chinese business forum was held on 3 November, prior to the opening of the Belarusian exposition at the CIIE. It was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Shanghai (CCITC Shanghai). The event presented the export opportunities of Belarusian companies participating in the forum and the national exposition. Business negotiations were held during the event.

On 6 November, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan also visited the Belarusian exposition. During the tour of the exposition, the official delegation noted the consistently high quality of Belarusian products, and also expressed interest in developing cooperation with Belarus. Guests of the Belarusian exposition continue to enjoy a rich cultural program, performances of artists and tastings of dishes of national cuisine. On 6 November, a presentation of Brest Oblast was held at the pavilion, and a package of agreements was signed.

The 6th China International Import Expo in Shanghai will stay open until 10 November.
