MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, Energokomplekt and Minsk Automobile Plant are taking part in the 8th edition of the Rebuild Syria 2023 expo that opened in Damascus on 27 September. The Belarusian companies showcase their products and will take part in a business program, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The Made in Belarus exposition at the Rebuild Syria expo will be running until 1 October. The work of the national pavilion was arranged by Belinterexpo.

On the first day of the expo, the Belarusian pavilion was visited by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Syria Yuri Sluka, Syria’s Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Muhammad Abdul Latif, as well as representatives of Syrian organizations and company chiefs. The honored guests spoke highly of the Belarusian products and services on display at the expo.

For example, Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 presented a variety of dairy products: various types of cheeses, milk powder, butter and glazed cheese curds. Glazed cheese curds, milkshakes and butter, by the way, are very popular in this country. On the first day of the expo Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 signed a contract with a Jordanian company to supply its products.

Minsk Automobile Plant, one of the flagships of Belarus’ automotive industry, presented vehicles that can be used in a wide range of operations and are suitable for the Syrian weather conditions.

Energokomplekt, Belarus’ leading manufacturer of cable and wire products, has brought a wide range of its products to the Syrian expo.

On the eve of the expo, on 26 September, the Belarusian delegation met with Chairman of the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce Osama Mustafa to discuss cooperation prospects. The participants of the meeting praised the quality of Belarusian products and said that they have good prospects on the Syrian market.

Rebuild Syria is an international expo for foreign companies that are interested in taking part in rebuilding the Syrian economy by offering their products and services, and establishing business contacts with Syrian companies. Belarus has become a traditional participant in this expo.
