MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - Minsk has been rapidly developing in recent years, First Deputy Head of Belarus’ President Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov said at the official awards ceremony to mark the 950th anniversary of Minsk on 9 September, BelTA has learned.

Maksim Ryzhenkov noted that the Belarusian capital becomes more beautiful every year, and the credit for this goes, in many ways, to labor collectives. The best representatives of companies and organizations were awarded honorary diplomas of the President Administration. Among the prizewinners were the labor groups of the administration of the Sovietsky District of Minsk, Minskreklama and Minskkontsert companies and also the institutions of education, culture, social services, and law enforcement.

Maxim Ryzhenkov read out a message of greetings from Belarus President and wished Minsk and its citizens peace and prosperity.

“Thanks to the dedicated and hard work of many generations, Minsk has become one of the most beautiful European capitals. The rich history of the hero city is complemented by well-landscaped green zones and residential areas.
