Lukashenko: I want Belarus to be a calm country, we will buy all the other things

MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – If Belarus is a calm country, all the other things can be bought. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a meeting with representatives of the general public, experts, and mass media titled as the Big Conversation with the President on 9 August, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I want Belarus to be a calm country. We will buy all the other things. We don’t need much. We will find money to buy things. We will make everything primarily thanks to our brains, our own hands just the way we are doing it now. Personal ambition is the key. We will not choke personal initiatives of the people.”

The head of state noted that calmness can be secured only when there is a proper economic foundation for it, when people have jobs. “If a person wants and can make money, he or she will always be able to earn money in Belarus. We will always support those who cannot,” he stressed.
