Lukashenko: Expansion of contacts with China is a priority in Belarus’ foreign policy

BEIJING, 1 March (BelTA) - Expansion of contacts with China is a foreign policy priority for Belarus, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu on 1 March, BelTA has learned.

“Expansion of contacts with China is a priority in our foreign policy. Thanks to our joint efforts, the concept of comprehensive strategic partnership has acquired a special meaning in the relations between Belarus and China. Today, Minsk and Beijing continue strengthening constructive political dialogue, successfully develop economic cooperation and expand regional ties,” the head of state said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that the all-weather nature of bilateral cooperation enables Belarus and China to move forward. “We are ready to continue making the necessary efforts for the fruitful development of our partnership,” he said.
