Lukashenko: Belarus wants no war in the center of Europe

GRODNO DISTRICT, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus does not want any war, confrontation in the center of Europe, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told reporters after visiting the logistics center turned into a temporary accommodation facility for refugees near the border with Poland on 26 November, BelTA has learned.

“Scoundrels [in Poland and the EU] don’t want families to reunite. These are peaceful, normal people. Well, they will end up having a bigger problem. If Afghans rush here and to Ukraine (as you know, they will let anyone in for a penny), Europe will hardly be able to handle such a migrant flood. This will happen if they refuse to hear us and to solve this problem now,” the head of state emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko was also asked about Germany’s new government. “We do not count on anything, but we act like normal people, civilized neighbors. We do not want any war, confrontation here in the center of Europe. If they stick to the same policy, they are welcome, we will meet and embark on talks tomorrow. If they want confrontation, I think they will only lose,” the president said.
