Belarus seen as reliable roadblock for NATO’s strike against Russia

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Belarus reliably protects Russia from a NATO strike, BelTA learned from Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin during the plenary session of the 2nd International Anti-Fascist Congress.

Viktor Khrenin said: “The brotherly country of Russia, which is conducting a special military operation in Ukraine, is at the forefront of the fight against neo-Nazism. On its territory Belarus reliably protects Russia from a NATO strike in Russia’s back. It is the most important area of work for us. At the same time Belarus is doing a lot to counteract the rehabilitation of Nazism and the propagation of neo-fascism, preserve historical memory about the heroic deed of the Soviet nation during the Great Patriotic War.”

The official went on saying that just like during World War Two for the sake of fighting against fascism the entire international community needs to unite in order to objectively evaluate the events going on in the countries where the fascist ideology is being reborn. It will give an opportunity to take decisive measures to deter them in all fields. “Taking into account the escalation of military preparations in the world and the encouragement for new countries to join in neo-fascism, it is advisable to suggest that representatives of political parties, public organizations and movements should unite into a single international anti-fascist front,” Viktor Khrenin said.
