Belarus ready to develop different forms of cooperation with Chinese partners

MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to develop different forms of cooperation with Chinese partners, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Committee of Belarus Vyacheslav Abramov said at a conference on investment opportunities for Chinese companies on 1 August, BelTA has learned.

“The State Property Committee of Belarus jointly with concerned government bodies compiled a pilot list of 22 Belarusian companies and one investment project that was handed over to Chinese colleagues for consideration and identification of areas of greatest interest to them. This list provides the basis for talks that we are ready to further develop for mutual benefit,” Vyacheslav Abramov noted.

He emphasized that Belarus and China have established special relations of trust, bilateral strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. “The parties agreed to join their production capacities. The work in this area is of crucial importance in the context of the transition to mutual direct investments,” Vyacheslav Abramov added.

“We are ready for cooperation, ready to expand it, develop its various forms, including through the purchase of shares in Belarusian companies by Chinese companies, establishment of new manufacturing enterprises on the basis of Belarusian companies or at new platforms, for instance, at the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone,” the official said.
