MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) - Belarus is an important partner and a trusted friend of Kazakhstan, said member of the Committee on Agricultural Affairs of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangaliy Berdalin, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus is an important political, trade and economic partner and a trusted friend of Kazakhstan. Today, Kazakhstan-Belarus relations are a model of constructive and fruitful cooperation. The year of 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus,” the MP said.

According to him, relations between the two countries are developing in the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and strategic partnership. “We have common approaches in strengthening bilateral cooperation. We are implementing economic and major investment projects, developing our humanitarian sector. An important factor in everything is trust-based relationship between the leaders of our countries. A constructive dialogue on bilateral and multilateral interaction has been established. Inter-parliamentary cooperation plays a special role in the development of bilateral relations. This is one of the key factors in strengthening good-neighborly relations. Today's meeting is a vivid example of our interaction,” he said.

Head of the working group of the Parliament of Belarus on cooperation with the Parliament of Kazakhstan Svetlana Lyubetskaya held a meeting with members of the working group of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus at the House of Representatives on 15 December.

“We want to thank you for the warm welcome. I am sure that our meeting will contribute to strengthening friendship and cooperation between parliaments,” the MP of Kazakhstan said.

A parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is visiting Belarus on 15-16 December. The program of the visit envisages meetings with representatives of the House of Representatives. Kazakhstan’s MPs are set to visit Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), the agricultural complex Dzerzhinsky, get familiar with the production of enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian state concern for the production and sale of light industry goods.
